  • If you believe that you’ve overpaid on tax when you purchased your vehicle, you can still receive a private appraisal and obtain a refund on the tax paid.

To do this you will need to obtain an appraisal through Sea to Sky Vehicle Appraisals, and submit it along with a completed BC Fin 355/MV to the Ministry of Finance. We can take you through this process step-by-step.

Remember ICBC will calculate tax on the appraised value or the recorded purchase price, whichever is higher.
